Three years ago, owners and general managers Teresa Outzen and Pete Gliniak opened Desert Rose Steakhouse; the next week the Pizza & Gastropub; then a few weeks after that, the cigar lounge. All three set on 2 acres with plenty of parking at Grand Avenue and 57th Drive.
The steakhouse has a scratch kitchen where the highest quality of fresh steaks and chops, fish and vegetables, never frozen (exceptions are the French fries and onion rings), are prepared. Soups and salad dressings are homemade. The Pizza & Gastropub serves the highest level of fresh pub food including handshaved prime ribs and pizza crust made fresh daily. Fine wines and locally crafted beers are also served as well as an all-you-can-eat Sunday Champagne Brunch.
Experience musical entertainment from DJs to local bands, karaoke and open mic night. Most of the entertainment is free, although some nights may have a cover charge. Maybe classic cars are more your speed, then you are in luck. Twice a month a local Mopar club meets at Desert Rose. Feeling a bit crafty? Such classes as Paint Night, Plant Night, Flower Arrangement and Pottery Painting are offered during the year.
Can you say 37 TVs? Every major UFC fight is streamed on the TVs and giant screens as well as a few major boxing fights. Desert Rose proudly sponsors local sports teams and also hosts charity events. The outside patio hosts giant checker and chess games, life-sized Connect 4 games, giant Jenga and giant peg table top games. There is a professional pingpong table, air hockey, billiard tables and corn-hole games. Inside there is a 22’ tournament shuffleboard as well as a foosball game.

Pete and Teresa proudly display the American, Arizona and POW flags. Flags of each branch of the military are proudly flown. Active service and veterans receive military discounts.
