DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION COMMITTEE

In April of 2022, the Glendale Chamber of Commerce formed a Diversity Task Force to champion the adoption of a non-discrimination ordinance in the City of Glendale, a measure that would prohibit discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodation. On May 25th, Glendale became the 9th Arizona City to officially adopt a non-discrimination ordinance, a win for Glendale residents and business. This small yet significant success led to the creation of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DE&I), a group focused on assisting employers grow their talent pool through the implementation of Diversity and Inclusion best practices in the workplace.  The DE&I Committee also works on educating employers, businesses, and local community leaders on the benefits of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and assists them in implementing policies and practices to attract, maintain, and increase business, talent, and partnerships.

"Companies that embrace diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their business statistically outperform their peers."

~Josh Bersin, leading industry analyst and researcher.
