COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Equality Arizona: Equality Arizona is a non-profit organization made up of a 501(c)(3), the Equality Arizona Foundation; a 501(c)(4), Equality Arizona; and the Equality Arizona Political Action Committee. We use a variety of strategies to build the political and cultural power of LGBTQ Arizona.

One Community: ONE Community, the coalition of socially responsible businesses, organizations and individuals who are moving diversity, inclusion, equity and equality forward for all Arizonans.

YWCA: YWCA USA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. We are one of the oldest and largest women’s organizations in the nation, serving over 2 million women, girls, and their families.

YWCA has been at the forefront of the most pressing social movements for more than 160 years — from voting rights to civil rights, from affordable housing to pay equity, from violence prevention to health care reform. Today, we combine programming and advocacy in order to generate institutional change in three key areas: racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement of women and girls, and health and safety of women and girls.

STATE & NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

American Association for Access, Equity & Diversity: The American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED) was founded in 1974 as the American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA), a non-profit organization. It is the longest-standing national civil rights organization of professionals who engage in the important work of leading, directing and managing affirmative action, equal opportunity, diversity and other human resource programs.

Arizona Diversity Council: The Arizona Diversity Council (AZDC) is committed to fostering a learning environment for organizations to grow and leverage their knowledge of diversity. Through a variety of events and programs, the AZDC serves as the premier resource for diversity best practices and leadership development in the Arizona region.

Diversity Leadership Alliance: Diversity Leadership Alliance guides leaders in the transformation of culture to build an inclusive community where each person is equally respected and empowered. Diversity Leadership Alliance has its humble beginning as a Phoenix based diversity leadership round table in 2002. Leaders from various organizations and businesses came together to discuss organizational challenges and potential solutions for business success. Diversity Leadership Alliance was officially formed in 2003 with the collaboration of several major companies in Arizona.

National Diversity Council: The NDC is the first non-profit organization to bring together the private, public and non-profit sectors to discuss the many dimensions and benefits of a multicultural environment. The success of the Texas Diversity Council (established in 2004) served as a catalyst for the National Diversity Council, launched in the fall of 2008. The National Diversity Council is a forerunner of community-based, national organizations that champion diversity and inclusion across the country. It is currently made up of state and regional councils, the National Women’s Council, the Council for Corporate Responsibility, and the Center for Community Leadership.
