Getting involved with programs you care about connects you to the information and people that will enhance the value of your membership. The Glendale Chamber offers current members a range of opportunities to share their expertise and enthusiasm with the community. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

​The Board of Directors is the policy body of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Its members represent a cross-section of the business and professional leadership in the community. It has always been considered an honor to serve on the Board. Genuine and unselfish interest in the Chamber and its objective is the first requirement for Board members. The board performs the legislative function for the organization, that is, it makes all policy decisions for the Chamber. Specifically the board shall: 


  • Set the overall policy for the Chamber
  • Identify and help establish goals of the Chamber through its approved program of work
  • Provide adequate funding through the annual budget to carry out the program of work
  • Ensure dues structure is in place to support the Chambers program of work
  • Elect officers in accordance with the by-laws of the Chamber
  • Recommend and approve changes to the by-laws
  • Meet as required by the by-laws

AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE

Glendale Chamber Ambassadors are the welcoming committee of the organization. Ambassadors are always striving to strengthen connections; reinforcing the importance of relationship building with existing members, and assisting new members by welcoming them in, answering questions or concerns, and demonstrating how best to utilize opportunities and benefits. Ambassadors make a significant impact and play a pivotal role in member satisfaction and retention.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION COMMITTEE

In April of 2022, the Glendale Chamber of Commerce formed a Diversity Task Force to champion the adoption of a non-discrimination ordinance in the City of Glendale, a measure that would prohibit discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodation. On May 25th, Glendale became the 9th Arizona City to officially adopt a non-discrimination ordinance, a win for Glendale residents and business. This small yet significant success led to the creation of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DE&I), a group focused on assisting employers grow their talent pool through the implementation of Diversity and Inclusion best practices in the workplace.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Education Committee is specifically tasked with connecting the needs of business with the passion of the education community. As employers continue to struggle in their quest to identify a qualified work force, collaborative dialog surrounding the development of skill sets geared toward industry specific needs is crucial. Uniting schools, business and the community around educational excellence and real-world learning and mentorship will inspire innovation, drive growth, and attract investment.

MARKETING COMMITTEE

The goal and purpose of the Glendale Chamber Marketing Committee is to give existing Chamber Members access to learning opportunities geared towards business growth and success. This committee will cover marketing strategies, engagement, and tools in upcoming seminars and projects.

The Glendale Chamber provides unique opportunities for business leaders to influence civic, social, and business initiatives that support community growth. Public policy is the process by which a government sustains order and addresses the needs of citizens. Laws, mandates, and regulations are established through this political action. The important decisions made impact the lives of all citizens. As the voice of the business community, the Chamber offers leadership on issues that transform our community.

The Political Action Committee is a committee dedicated to helping create educated voters to positively impact the business community.  The Glendale Chamber PAC will work to educate individuals about candidates who recognize the power and impact they have on local businesses and communities, so that voters can make an informed decision.

PROCUREMENT FAIR COMMITTEE

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce partners with the Luke Air Force Base, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Glendale Community College and the City of Glendale to host the largest free to attend Procurement Fair & Business Expo in Arizona. Our Procurement Fair & Business Expo is designed to connect small businesses and large businesses to the community. With the goal of facilitating the process of making connections, attendance to this event will open up opportunities to meet prospective clients and buyers from small and large companies and government agencies- representing federal agencies, military bases, colleges and universities, school districts, city and county government, as well as corporate- to discuss business opportunities.
