The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) began managing the Arizona Chamber Executives (ACE) organization July 1. The new management agreement applies the professional management approach of the state’s largest chamber to achieve the statewide, pro-business priorities of 60 member-strong ACE.

“ACE is a great organization and we are honored to have been asked to provide management services to this outstanding resource for the chamber and business community,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “Having the Phoenix Chamber manage ACE is a natural fit for both organizations.”
Robert Heidt, president and CEO of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, began his term as ACE Board Chairman July 1, is excited to provide an increased level of service to ACE member chambers.

“Having the Phoenix Chamber become ACE’s managing agent means we’re going to be able to take what this organization can provide to a whole new paradigm,” Heidt said. “From management to planning our conference and trainings to public policy and advocacy at the Legislature, the value this arrangement provides to ACE-member chambers statewide is far greater than they’ve received before.”

ACE provides professional development and leadership opportunities to its member Arizona chambers, their executives and staffs through conferences, newsletters, networking, scholarships and an online resource library. ACE also unites the pro-business voices and interests of chambers and other like-minded professional organizations across the state to achieve positive public policy outcomes for the business community at the local, state and federal levels.

Under the new management agreement, GPCC provides day-to-day management of ACE, including planning and coordinating events, maintaining and updating ACE’s website and social media channels, facilitating member-to-member communication and providing updates on public policy, proposed bills and any other proposals effecting Arizona’s business climate.

“As a convening and connecting organization, we are extremely excited about what can be achieved with so many chambers across the state collaborating to help businesses succeed not only in their own communities, but collectively across the region,” Sanders said.
As the role of chambers of commerce continues to be redefined and updated to meet the needs of today’s businesses, collaboration remains the common thread woven through regions which have found sustained, large-scale economic success.

“We’re at a crossroads. As chambers across the state, we need to remain as cutting edge as possible,” Heidt said. “We owe a greater level of service and impact to chambers and chamber professionals. This partnership moves us all toward that goal.”

Arizona Chamber Executives provides a forum to enhance the professional development of chamber executives and staff, to support efforts of state, regional, national and professional organizations that support ACE goals and to provide an avenue for all Arizona chambers to work together on local, state and federal issues.

Representing 2,400 businesses across the Greater Phoenix region, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce promotes regional prosperity by serving as a catalyst for economic vitality and strong communities. The Chamber pursues this mission by collaborating with business, political and community leaders to grow the regional talent pool, create a regional approach to economic development and drive a pro-Arizona agenda.
