by Glendale Chamber of Commerce on February 11th, 2015

Glendale, AZ - The Glendale Chamber of Commerce will host the honorable Mayor Jerry Weiers for the 2015 State of the City Address and Annual Dinner on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa, 9495 W. Coyotes Boulevard, Glendale, AZ 85305 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

This annual gathering is one of the premier events for the City of Glendale and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce with over 300 business and community leaders in attendance.

“Glendale is on the move and improving every day,” said Mayor Weiers. “From shining on the world stage with the Super Bowl to increasing public participation in our community, we are committed to making our City the best it can be.  My speech will highlight some of the challenges we have overcome and cover my goals for the future.  We still have challenges before us, but we have shown that by focusing on what is most important, we can accomplish anything.”

In addition to the Mayor's State of the City Address, the 2014 Glendale Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board, Dave Mitchell of Ideal Insurance Agency, will recap the year as we welcome 2015 Chairman of the Board, Bobbi Magdaleno of Arizona State University.
“Change is inevitable, but the change must be effective in order to have a positive outcome, said Mitchell. “At the Glendale Chamber of Commerce we have experienced positive change this last year. The Glendale Chamber is now a Chamber on the move in the areas of finance, membership, and advocacy.”

“Our job at the Glendale Chamber of Commerce is focused on providing leadership to promote a strong local economy,” said Magdaleno. “We aim to provide value to our members, be highly engaged in the local community and serve as an advocate for business. As the voice of commerce, we provide programs and services to improve the economic environment for our members. This year, some of our plans include a refinement of the strategic plan, an evaluation of current programs and discussions about additional offerings needed for the benefit of our member’s ability to strengthen and grow their business.”

A Cocktail Reception will begin at 5:30 pm and the Dinner and Program will begin at 6:30 pm. Registration is now available for individual attendees for $75, a table of Eight (8) for $600 or a table of ten (10) for $750. Please visit www.glendaleazchamber.org to register today.
